Final Project
Developing your own leadership philosophy and incorporating many of the lessons discussed within this course will be the capstone event. The expectation is that your philosophy, at a minimum, will cover your leadership style; how you plan to deal with your personnel; how you plan to effectively communicate to your personnel; your expectations of your personnel; expectations your personnel may expect from you; and how you plan to lead your organization to success. Your grade will be based upon thefinal project grading rubric so you may want to review this document carefully before submitting your final project.
You can begin to formulate the template for this final project as we move through the course. This culminating assignment should bring together the key ideas we have discussed throughout the course. I will provide someleadership philosophy examples for you to review. This assignment is not intended for you to simply regurgitate material, but rather, synthesize the material learned and create your own leadership philosophy that you may actually use now or in the future as you move into a leadership position. This is where the world of academia and the real world come together.
Please submit the final project in the appropriate Canvas portal in Lesson 4.
Remember good leadership is all about 'attention to detail', so please heed this guidance and direction carefully and good luck to each of you.
